Stella Fakiyesi is a Nigerian born photo based visual artist who resides in Toronto, Canada. Her work focuses on social and cultural commentary. She is driven to shed light on the various facets of her own personal experience and that of the larger diaspora.

Fakiyesi studied photography at OCAD University and her work has appeared in a range of national and international exhibitions and publications including: Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) Toronto, Canada and,"History of African Photography from 1840 to Present Published by" Revue Noir Paris, France and the McMichael Gallery.

Fakiyesi also founded SOF Art House, a gallery and co-work space for photographers in Toronto, which she ran from 1999 - 2005.
